November TEKS: 3.12A, 3.13A-D, 3.16A-C, Figure 19 A-F
Students are reading nonfiction text, identifying and using text features, and learning to find the main idea in the text. The focus for this nine weeks is to learn how to extract important information from a nonfiction text and determine the main idea and important details. They will need to be able to make inferences and summarize information in the text. Please read nonfiction text with you students during their homework time.
3rd Grade Math

Representing and Solving 2 step word problems with multiplication and division, with properties of operations and recall of facts. Solving addition and subtraction word problems with addition and subtraction relationships and properties of operations.
4th Grade ELA
November Reading TEKS: 4.11A-D, 4.13B, 4.14A-C, Figure 19 B
Our Students are revving up their minds for reading nonfiction text, identifying and using text features, and learning to find the main idea in the text. The main focus for this nine weeks is to learn how to extract important information from a nonfiction text and determine the main idea and supporting details. They will need to make inferences, understand procedural text, and summarize information from the text. Please allow your child to read nonfiction text with you during their homework time

Solving 2 Step Multiplication and Division Word Problems, Rounding with Compatible numbers. Estimating Solutions. Represent multi-step problems using strip diagrams. Using input output tables, using pattern relationships.
